Many people new to mining machinery parts may not fully understand what track rollers are. Today, we'll explain them in detail. Track rollers are one of the lower components of various mining equipment.
Track rollers support the weight of the excavator while rolling on the track rails (track links) or track shoes. They also restrain the track, preventing it from slipping laterally, allowing the track to move along the wheels.
What is the function of track rollers?
Track rollers are screwed to the underside of the wheel frame. They support the weight of the machine and distribute it across the track shoes. Their roller flanges also clamp the track rails to prevent the track from slipping laterally (derailing), ensuring the machine's movement along the track, minimizing rolling resistance, and extending the life of the track even in muddy and submerged conditions.
Why is it important to lubricate and maintain track rollers?
The rollers, along with the guide wheels, drive gears, pulleys, and tracks, form the four wheels and one belt of the rotary drilling rig's travel system. The rollers bear the entire weight of the machine. Lubrication of the rotary drilling rig's travel system is crucial. Many roller bearing problems and component failures occur due to inadequate lubrication and maintenance, as well as failure to detect oil leaks in a timely manner. While ensuring proper lubrication, it's crucial to monitor the rollers for oil leaks. Of course, everything should be done in moderation, and excessive lubrication of the rollers is equally important.

Huayang's rollers/carrier sprockets utilize heavy-duty roller bodies that are forged and deeply hardened to prevent deformation and enhance durability and lifespan.
Full penetration welds are free of weld defects, ensuring overall wheel strength, with weld strength exceeding the wheel material strength.
The wheel axle and other components are finely ground and then polished to reduce roughness, friction, minimize temperature rise, and reduce bushing wear, thereby extending service life.
Induction hardening and tempering enhance the wheel's resistance to lateral extrusion.
