Track rollers, carrier rollers, and guide wheels primarily wear on their flanges and grooves. Under normal conditions, these parts wear due to contact with the track segments, resulting in even wear on both sides. Under abnormal conditions, wear is often more severe on one side, a phenomenon known as "track gnawing." Correctly analyzing the cause of wear and implementing appropriate measures can extend their service life. The following uses track rollers as an example to explain solutions to wear issues.
Bulldozer track rollers support weight and are one of the four wheels in a construction machinery system. Their importance is self-evident. Long-term bulldozer operation inevitably causes wear on the track rollers. So, what are the appropriate measures to address this issue?

Wear Solution:
1. Change the angle of the floating seal ring seat cavity in the end cap from 15° to 10° to increase the contact surface between the end cap and the O-ring, preventing relative rotation between the O-ring and the seat cavity. This ensures a more reliable seal between the O-ring, the end cap, and the wheel body.
2. The size of the floating seal ring seat cavity formed by the track roller wheel body and end caps was increased to reduce pressure and friction on the contact surfaces of each pair of floating seal rings.
3. The track roller waist diameter was increased to increase the volume of the oil chamber at the wheel waist, ensuring adequate lubrication. By increasing the distance between the seat cavities, the oil reservoir at the floating seal rings is increased, ensuring that the lubricant can effectively cool the floating seal rings. Oil grooves were created on the inner wall of the copper sleeve to ensure adequate lubrication of the contact surface with the wheel axle; oil holes were drilled on the inner wall of the wheel body to ensure smooth circulation of the lubricant.
The chromium (Cr) element contained in our track rollers significantly improves the hardenability and strength of the steel, making it less susceptible to deformation under high loads. Furthermore, the addition of nickel (Ni) and molybdenum (Mo) further improves the toughness of the steel and reduces the risk of cracking under impact loads. Huayang's track rollers demonstrate their material advantages particularly in high-wear environments such as mines and construction sites. After heat treatment (tempering or surface hardening), these materials can obtain a hard but not brittle surface structure, taking into account wear resistance and inherent toughness.
